Episode 38 – Prickly

De returns for this episode where we chat about general geekery before diving into some news. News for this week includes more Star Wars movies, Sad Batman, and nuTrek’s new director. The mailbag features some new commenters asking the TRF Crew about their “solo space mission” entertainment picks, go-tos on bad days, and a query about the new TV show, Gotham.

Hey! I fell behind for a little while but have caught up now. Just a few comments, a couple of questions, and one suggestion for ya’ll.
Enjoyed having Ann-Marie subbing for De. De, glad you are feeling better. De, you are affectionate. Dana, you are not prickly. You’re both just a pair of big cuddly bears, and I have special hugs prepared for both of you at Shoreleave to prove it. ;)
I saw the new Godzilla movie and being an old-school fan, I thought the film was excellent. Hope ya’ll see it soon, would love to hear your opinions.
On the Winter Soldier, loved it! An article from a UK magazine interview of Chris Evans clarified that he had a 6 movie contract with Marvel, which he will fulfill, and that the Thor 2 cameo does not count. So, two more films for Cap.
I had a wonderful surprise this week, when Defiance started its second season on SyFy. Dawn and I love this show. Have any of you seen it? Thoughts, opinions?
I enjoyed the SHIELD finale. What did you think De? The last bit with Garrett and Coulson: classic or campy?
How about a segment for reviewing older sci-fi/fantasy/cult films? Ones from 5 or more years back. Have the three of you pick a film at the end of the podcast episode. Then, all three of you watch it before the next podcast when ya’ll would review it for us. Interested? Already being done by other podcasters? Or not random enough?

Is this to be the annual “Put Rachel in her happy place” PDA? Remind me to have video recording at rehearsal. ;-)
