TRF returns with a recap of Dana’s adventures at Baltimore Comic Con. De talks about his exciting week off and Matt dishes on his madcap escapades!
Episode 47 – A Long Time Ago…
Put on your bell-bottom pants and get your bowl haircuts as the boys of TRF discuss the early days of Star Wars that they remember. Along the way, they chat about action figures and Dana wishes upon a star for a sci-fi film to win Best Picture.
Episode 46 – Mystery Meat
Hi folks, De here. Thanks to Matt for pinch hitting and editing this longer-than-normal episode while I was away dealing with Life, the Universe, and Everything Else. Dana and Matt recorded this episode without me, so I’m not sure what’s in it. Enjoy this Mystery Meat episode and we’ll see you next time!
Oh yeah, beware of possible profanity–you’ll find this one marked as Explicit.
Episode 45 – Sandy Eggo
As the summer winds to a close, the convention season seems to be heating up. The TRF Crew discusses the San Diego Comic-Con, as well as the Shore Leave science fiction convention, with a tangent or 12 along the way. One particular tangent of note concerns the comprehension-challenged nerd rage over the announcements Marvel made regarding Thor and Captain America.

Episode 43 – Malibu Batman’s Dream House
This episode is a bit of a departure from our normal routine as De and Dana (Matt was busy shaping the youth of tomorrow) open up a vintage 1977 Mego Batman’s Wayne Foundation Playset and attempt to assemble it without the benefit of an instruction sheet.

Episode 42 – Stuck in Neutral
With Matt under the weather, he was unable to take part in the festivities surrounding Dana’s new car! Among the smorgasbord of topics Dana and De chat about are Power Lords action figures, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, modern-day oddities of going to the movies, and National Treasure 2: The Book of Secrets. We close with a rant by Dana regarding the idiocy of some Doctor Who fans over stealing episodes prior to air.
Episode 41 – Pacific Funk
The TRF crew returns with a discussion about Pacific Rim, which leads to another chat about our experiences with anime and manga with a brief stop in The Matrix.
Episode 40 – Open the Iris
Hope everyone had a fun and safe Independence Day! Totally Random Fandom is back with a discussion of the Stargate franchise, including the film creators’ plans to reboot it into a trilogy of films. In the news section, it’s a bit of Marvel news as we chat about Josh Brolin’s role of Thanos in Guardians of the Galaxy and the Winter Soldier DVD/Blu-ray release, which leads to a discussion of digital distribution, Net Neutrality, and the state of physical media.

Episode 39 – Day Late-Dollar Short – Captain America – The Winter Soldier
It’s been well over a month and all three of the TRF Crew finally got around to seeing Captain America: The Winter Soldier! It should be no surprise that this podcast is full of spoilers! Work efforts have begun to ratchet up again for De so this episode is not as smooth as most. Chances are you’ll hear many a verbal crutch and perhaps some profanity. Please don’t hold it against us
