De returns for this episode where we chat about general geekery before diving into some news. News for this week includes more Star Wars movies, Sad Batman, and nuTrek’s new director. The mailbag features some new commenters asking the TRF Crew about their “solo space mission” entertainment picks, go-tos on bad days, and a query about the new TV show, Gotham.
Episode 36 – Waffle Men
This was recorded the week after May 4 and De was out once again. Pinch hitting once again for part of this episode is Ann-Marie! The TRF Crew recaps Free Comic Book Day, which segues into a discussion of comics and the news of renewal for Agents of SHIELD and the green light for Agent Carter.
Eventually, things get around to the virtue of standalone stories in the form of Star Wars and the Hobbit, which leads into talk of Michael Moorcock’s Elric books, Hugh Laurie, Red Dwarf, and Dana’s costuming obsessions.
Episode 35 – Read A Book!
De is away once again, so the TRF Crew brings in Dana’s better half: the amazing Ann-Marie! Lots of book talk this week, including experiences with book signings and working said book signings.
Episode 34 – I Won’t Drink It
The TRF Crew immediately starts off with a discussion of the Expanded Universe’s role within Star Wars. During our weekly roundups, Dana recaps his birthday haul and unveils the Harold Ramis memorial pins we’ll be offering in a contest coming soon. Our news item is the upcoming Death of Wolverine story, which provided a nice segue into Free Comic Day and our current reading (Matt = Wonder Woman, De = Dead Boy Detectives, and Dana = 1960′s Green Lantern). The mail bag this week has us discussing Agents of SHIELD, speculation regarding the occupation of one of our listeners, and our website.

Episode 33 – In the Bag
The second half of Dana and Matt’s marathon recording session while De enjoyed the splendor of JoeCon. Our heroes chat about TV, more Man of Steel stuff, comics, and the geeky problems of acquiring this ephemera that we love so much.
Episode 32 – Circle Joe
Recorded while De was at JoeCon, Dana and Matt reminisce about childhood G.I. Joe memories, which eventually evolves into a discussion about Man of Steel and the Godzilla movie opening this weekend.
Episode 31 – Chewbacca’s Sister
Our wibbly-wobbly time wimey escapades continue with this episode recorded on April 4, 2013, the week before De left for JoeCon. In this episode, we tackle the Rocky Horror Picture Show, Phantom of the Paradise, and the Rifftrax specials on the National Geographic Channel. Dana’s fever dreams continue as we discuss He-Man, She-Ra, Transformers, and G.I. Joe.
The mail bag this week brings one of the most disturbing things we’ve ever seen and some discussion of Agents of SHIELD and a preview of the International G.I. Joe Convention. This eventually leads to talk about other conventions coming later in the year, as well as an in-store signing by comic creator Evan Dorkin.
Episode 30 – Day Late-Dollar Short – Thor 2 – Electric Boogaloo
The TRF band of unapologetic knuckleheads take the time to discuss Thor’s second solo movie, The Dark World. Due to work deadlines, there wasn’t much time to edit this one so there will be many a verbal pause and a bit of profanity (hence the Explicit tag for this episode).

It’s summertime and you know what that means. Time to go to the theater and watch some movie things! This episode contains out summer movie preview where we chat about a few of the more obvious offerings available at a theater near you between now and August.
This week’s mail call spurs some discussion about Man of Steel, time travel, the Sci-Fi Channel’s paradigm shift, and Agents of SHIELD.
